Somoy TV is 24-hour news situated TV station. It started broadcasting in 2011. Somoy Television expects to acquire a positive change in Bangladesh through significant, adjusted and precise news and data.

Somoy Television is a 24-hour Bengali TV slot in Bangladesh. Its home office is in 89, Bir Uttam CR Dutta Road, Banglamotor, Dhaka. It has a communicated NOC permit from the administration of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. After the beginning of test transmission on 10 October 2010, it is monetarily on-air since 17 April 2011. The station is transmitted utilizing satellite Bangabandhu-1, the main satellite of Bangladesh, worked by Bangladesh Communication Satellite Company Limited. 

History:- 

Somoy TV got government authorization for broadcasting in October 2009. It beginning of test transmission on 10 October 2010 and industrially on-air since 17 April 2011. 

On 1 January 2014, unidentified people tossed bombs on an official vehicle of Somoy TV harming the driver in Chittagong City. Writers at the system accused activists of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and Islami Chhatra Shibir. on 1 April 2015, Bangladesh Police held onto transmission hardware of Somoy TV outside the workplace of previous Prime Minister and Chairperson of Bangladesh Nationalist Party, Khaleda Zia. In May 2016, Drug sellers ambushed the Somoy TV Cox's Bazar District journalist, Sujauddin Rubel, for his reports on sedate dealing. 

In September 2016, Attorney General of Bangladesh, Mahbubey Alam, filled a grievance with the Bangladesh Supreme Court over remarks on a show on the TV that examined the atrocities preliminary of Mir Quasem Ali. Somoy TV had to submit transcripts of the show to the court. On 30 November 2017, the child of the Minister of Land, Shamsur Rahman Sherif, assaulted and harmed four writers including one of Somoy TV.
